Tech Talk: Scott Best, Technical Director - Anti-Counterfeiting, Rambus Cryptography Research - 2-3 pm
Scott Best is the Technical Director of Anti-Counterfeiting with Rambus Cryptography Research, located in San Francisco, CA. He has been with Rambus since 1998, focusing on the areas of integrated circuit design, advanced signaling, next-generation memory systems, 2.5/3D packaging, random-number generators, and anti-counterfeiting technology.
A graduate of Cornell University, he has been working in the semiconductor field for more than twenty-five years, and is a named inventor on over ninety-five issued patents.

- Why is gold, well, gold?
- What is money?
- What is Bitcoin and why can it be used like money?
- Q&A (5 mins)

CAD Design Workshop #2:
3:15-5pm
For First-time Attendees
- Basic CAD functions to model structures
- Part files vs. assembly files vs. construction files
- Navigating around and implementing pictures as outlines
- Textures and materials identifying cost/specifications of structures built
- Proper dimensions and scaling
For return attendees, we will work on more complex CAD model design eg. a house.
